The aircraft being devised in the inner sanctum of Lockheed Martin's legendary Skunk Works will be sleek. It will be expensive. The delivery date is still uncertain, since the Skunk Works has wrapped the SBJ in the secrecy that's a hallmark of its Palmdale, Calif., headquarters. "All that we are saying is that we are exploring supersonic suppression technology that can be applied to either government or commercial contracts," says Skunk Works spokesperson Dianne Knippel. "If you're asking, 'Are you specifically working with a commercial customer for a business jet?'--I can't answer that."
