Super Bowl XXXIII took place on January 31, 1999, in Miami, Florida at Pro Player Stadium. This was the thirty-third championship game of the National Football League. Super Bowl XXXIII had the American Football Conference (AFC) Champion Denver Broncos against the National Football Conference (NFC) Champion Atlanta Falcons.

In Super Bowl XXXIII, Denver (17-2) defeated Atlanta (16-3), 34-19. With their appearance in Super Bowl XXXIII, Denver was the last team to repeat as Super Bowl champs until the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX. At 38 years old, Denver quarterback John Elway became the oldest player to ever be named Super Bowl MVP, with his Super Bowl XXXIII MVP award. Elway passed for 336 yards and one touchdown; he also had one rushing touchdown.
